Custom Cut vs Kit Installations

We get calls asking if we our standard installation are custom cut or if we use a kit.

We do both!!!

For most vehicles, kits which we cut for your vehicle fit very well.  Kits allow us to provide excellent installations in a shorter amount of time than when performing bulk or "custom" installations.
If you own a late model (newer) vehicle and have not performed any modifications to your bodywork.  You will be happy with our kit installation.

Some shops out there swear by their custom hand cut jobs and say kits do not cover as well.  They may be reffering to the older kits from older kit designers for older cars. Yes, these old kits had huge gaps in coverage, many of them did not even cover wheel to wheel on the bumpers.  Kit designs have come a long way since then.  The top kit designers employ a large staff who work directly with automobile manufacturers to make sure clear bra kits are available for new model vehicles with excellent fit and coverage.

Bulk or custom installation involve using a blade to trim off excess material as the bulk sheet of film is stretched and molded onto the vehicle.  For an experienced installer, using a blade on the vehicle carry's a very low risk.  Special blades offer the installer a feel for the film and scoring just the top layer of film so it can be torn does not damage the paint.  "Bulking" a vehicle does take significantly longer than using a kit so a premium price is normally added for these installations.

Bulk installations are reserved now for those who have custom body panels or want coverage which isn't part of the standard protection package.
